二战中，意大利公然出兵占领阿尔巴尼亚。阿尔巴尼亚人民展开反法西斯斗争。共产党员阿尔边刺杀了意大利特使后跑到农村并认识了扎娜。扎娜的父亲阿巴兹胆小怕事，告诉了反动的巴里党头子，结果扎娜被捕。巴里党与英帝国主义勾结想消灭共产党。号称盟军代表德培尔靳斯不但不给予支持，反而向游击队提出投降的建议。游击队员毫不动摇并取得最后胜利。
